The Allard J2X was a series of roadsters introduced in 1952. The J2X was an updated version of the Allard J2 that featured a lengthened chassis (thus the ‘X’ in the name, meaning extended). As well as the longer platform, the J2X received an improved suspension setup which allowed for the engine to be mounted further forward in the chassis. The J2X was powered by a 5.8L V8 engine, which sent drive to the rear wheels via a 3 speed manual transmission. Production of the Allard J2X lasted until 1954, with a total of 83 examples built.
